This Northeast Portland property presented a number of challenges: It was in a mixed neighborhood of finished and unfinished streets a bit far out to be considered cool, small and boxy with ambiguous spaces, and the seller had definite ideas about the staging.  She wanted the staging to be minimalistic and look trendy.  We love doing that look, but had to balance minimalism with showing functionality of the spaces to buyers.  Here are Before and After photos of the house and how we staged it.  The client loved it and it sold quickly!
  1. BEFORE: Living/Dining spacesThis was a nicely remodeled little house with a confusing layout - especially empty.
  2. AFTER:The seller is a designer and wanted the staging cool and minimalistic. We were more than happy to oblige!
  3. BEFORE:Empty this was like a long bowling alley and the fireplace in the dining area made it all the more confusing.
  4. AFTER:Defining the function of ambiguous spaces is one of the benefits of staging. One of the others is giving those spaces style!
  5. Dining RoomAnother shot of the dining room with the wood stove. We also placed birch logs in a box.
  6. BEFORE: Office nookThis little space was tucked behind the kitchen.
  7. AFTER: Office nook.Another opportunity to bring in the minimalist cool factor. The client loved it! And the property sold~
