Northwest Portland Condo
This Northwest Portland condo had been on the market for many months with no offers. The rooms were small with looming walls that made them appear even smaller.  Additionally, there were dated aspects that stuck out without anything to distract from them. The listing was withdrawn and over a year later we were hired to stage it.  The sellers had left a few pieces of furniture in the unit but they weren’t showcasing the true potential of the property. (Sometimes it really isn’t advantageous to leave furnishings rather than starting from a blank canvas.) We had the strong accent walls painted out in updated neutral tones and brought in all new sophisticated furnishings – except for the sellers’ sectional and fantastic bamboo.  It sold in 30 days!  Check out our transformation in the gallery below…
  1. BEFORE: Dining and Living Room with Sellers\' furnishingsThis narrow space with high vertical walls seemed tiny - almost claustrophobic - before we staged it.
  2. AFTER: Dining Room & Living Room looking out to PatioBy using dramatic colors and vibrant artwork, we made a very small living space seem warm and inviting. We utilized the sellers sectional in our staging which fit the space, added reflective furniture and a sophisticated sense of style and buyers loved it!
  3. BEFORE: Master BedroomThe red accent wall draws attention to the boxy feeling of this space and instead of warming it, made it feel harsh.
  4. AFTER: Master BedroomWe advised that the space be painted in a warm neutral color that unified the room and made it feel larger. Then we staged it to feel like a retreat...
  5. AFTER: Master BedroomHere is a shot showing the other wall with a dramatic painted black & gold headboard.
  6. BEFORE: Guest BedroomBedroom seemed dark and uninviting.
  7. AFTER: Guest BedroomWe recommended paint color be changed to this softer but stylish neutral. Staged in keeping with the setting, now it feels more current than before and serene. We also advised that the patio be pressure washed which provided a fresh palette for our outdoor staging.
  8. BEFORE: Guest BedroomThe main wall of the guest bedroom before. It took too much imagination on the part of buyers to visualize this space as it could be.
  9. AFTER: Guest BedroomWith a softer paint color and furnishings, it became a lovely space with a private patio beyond.
  10. BEFORE: Loft areaOnce again, the furnishings were too sparse and a bit industrial for this space.
  11. AFTER:An elegant desk, cool artwork and some color really added appeal to this great space!
  12. Patio AfterWe added sophisticated outdoor staging to add much needed living space to this unit.
